A protester lights an American flag on fire during the filming of a scene in Sticks and Stones, a two hour movie being shot for CTV about a peewee hockey team from Brockton, Massachusetts who's bus was mobbed by anti-Iraq war protestors in Montreal in 2003 during a hockey tournament. The throng insulted, taunted and cursed the youngsters, telling them to go back to America while torching American flags. Horrified at the treatment of the American youngsters, a pair of Fredericton hockey dads organized a tournament in their city to show the state-side tweens they were welcome north of the border. and in March 2004, the Brockton Boxers returned to Canada to take part in what was called The Friendship Series.
